We're the Carters - Ja'el & Preston, the creative duo behind Little Poppy June. I'm Jae, the creative director and storyteller. I design every Little Poppy June website, but this business is built by both of us. Preston is my steady, supportive partner. He has a background in graphic design and he serves as my editor. What started out as a hobby and favor to close friends and families has evolved into something we could not have imagined. Three years later, Little Poppy June has become a creative studio grounded in celebrating love and building a community of support.

Our Why
Our own wedding sparked the creation of "Little Poppy June". Planning a wedding in Las Vegas opened our eyes to the challenges so many face. It's easy to become overwhelmed by logistics and deadlines, drown in details and decisions, all while trying to "make something pretty" in between.
Our website became a bridge, connecting our families to our love. This experience revealed the power of a meaningful wedding website. It’s not just about logistics, it fosters connection. This passion led to the birth of Little Poppy June.
So our marriage & love became the foundation of this business: just two people who believe in deeply honoring connection, storytelling and the beauty found in tiny, thoughtful details.

Behind the Name
When deciding on a name for our business, we wanted something that equally reflected us both. Incorporating our initials felt like the perfect place to start. Poppy flowers are one of my favorites, symbolizing joy and love. So, Poppy became a shoo-in. With June being one of the top wedding months, it was an easy choice. We fell in love with the combination, believing it was a perfect fit for our brand.
We discovered that Poppy June had already been taken and were initially devastated and stressed! We could not imagine what could be more fitting to represent us. We brainstormed and landed on the “Little” addition. It took some adjusting, but we eventually fell in love with our new identity. Together, Little Poppy June captures our love, playful spirit as a couple.
